Similarly, you should try to preview your mails with images turned off. A lot of spam, containing images, has code in place to show the image has been viewed. Yet another way that the spammer knows your email address is a good one - and it then makes it onto the next harvested email list that they sell.

Bounce was never particularly effective at stopping spam. It only confirms your existence at that address. 

Most spam is sent by PCs with viruses, so wouldn't receive or check any non delivery reports.
