they are beeps rather than bips. maybe a sceond or two? Say more?
I hope to do more testing tonight. Fortunately her brother has an
identical machine but he wasn't around. With his permission I can try
his drive to start-up.
But I would have expected the drive to be readable by my mac in an
enclosure but only one partition would mount.
