I wonder if you could advise me how to set up an account on Address Book on my MacBook pro? I am finding that if I put a new contact on the MBP ( still on 10.6.8) it does not sync with contacts on my iPad and iPhone. Under Preferences the only account listed is "On my Mac Local". On my iPad contacts are synced to [email protected] therefore I have tried to add this account to Address Book. The box that comes up asks for Account type :the default is given as CardDav. It then asks for user name and password. Then lastly it asks for server address. As an example it gives [email protected] but when I put in [email protected], I get error message saying : address cannot discover the account settings for the CardDav server "address [email protected]". Make sure the user name and server address are correct, then click Create. Advice about how to do this would be much appreciated.
