Thanks for this sensitive and appropriate way of handling this.

Of course SJ will be irreplacable, and I hope they won't try to. I think he 
always knew that computing were not for calculating: as a medium it'ss about 
entertainment. I have, somewhere, a VHS tape where Apple talk of the home 
computer as a both Nick Negroponte's digital butler (handling diary, shopping 
lists and such like) and an entertainment centre. Seemed bizarre at the time.

I hope he's left a team that can continue to promote the values he brought to 
Apple. His way of presenting cannot, of course, be reproduced: that's how these 
things work.

I hope he died with a sense of achievement and happiness, and not in great pain.
