Hi All It appears in iOS 5.1 if your iPhone is set to lock automatically on any interval other than immediate (ie after 5 mins) you can bypass the screen lock by tapping the camera icon, then tapping the photos icon in the bottom left, then push the home button.
I'd suggest security aware users should already have the auto-lock set to immediate (ie when the screen is turned off) anyway but seems like an oversight on Apple's part.
