Hi Andrew I had the original iPad and have just got the new 3rd generation one. I always put a Zagg http://www.zagg.com/ shield on. I have one on my phone and my camera but its quite difficult to get it on cleanly to an iPad. If you perservere I believe its worth it and it does not detract at all from the quality of the fantastic resolution of the new screen. There is another make which I don't think is as good but is much easier to apply as its a stiffer plastic sheet. Hope this helps. Andy
