Yeah that's what I though would work Nick but it doesn't. First, I get a weird Acrobat error that says, "There was an error opening this document. Acrobat cannot open this file while printing another document." And then OS X reports that some of the PDFs don't have a default app specified (when quite clearly they do!) so can't be opened. Clearly some pointless faffing-about is called for.
