Hi all,
According to Apple's website it currently says:
"Set up a separate Wi-Fi network with a separate password for your visitors.
Simply enable the guest networking feature, and your guests can use the
Internet but can’t access other parts of your private network, such as your
computers, printers and attached hard drives."
When I search for guest network in the PDF document "Apple Airport Networks
Early 2009" (Which is, as far as I can tell, the latest one available from
Apple) it says:
"Click Guest Network and then enter the network name and other options for the
guest network." whilst showing images of an Airport Utility which looks nothing
like the one I have!
In AE Help it says:
• Open AirPort Utility, located in the Utilities folder in the
Applications folder.
• Select the wireless device on which you want to set up a guest
network, and then click Edit.
• Click Wireless, and then select Enable Guest Network.
• Give the guest network a name.
Again, there is no "Enable Guest Network".
It seems as though their documentation is out of step with the software. Any
ideas on how I can do it? Is it still possible?
Airport Utility 6.1
OS X Lion 10.7.4
Latest Airport Extreme with firmware 7.6.1
Cheers,
Stephen
