...but I think there are some graphics people on the group. Is there a name for a frustum that isn't, in other words a name for the shape which is a truncated cone where the bisecting planes are not perpendicular?
Or are they just called truncated cones? Believe it or not, this stems from a question from my 5 year old daughter, who rightly spotted that the lampshade wasn't really a cone as the point was missing. I, stupidly, said "Very good, poppet. That means it isn't a cone, its a frustum. Oh, no hang on, that's at an angle, that's a..... erm....." Inevitably, I am now being pestered for the word. Asisstance greatfully received, a cyper-pint is in the offing.
