Hi all,

TM has been backing up to the disk attached to our Airport Extreme quite
happily since August. Today though, whilst it was backing up my iMac locked up
and the cursor vanished and nothing would make it work at all so I had to
restart and since then TM will not backup as it says that:

Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to "iMac's Airport extreme".
The backup disk image "/Volumes/Past Times-1/Shiny iMac.sparsebundle" is
already in use.

I think it said (error -1) or something too. The Volume name is actually "Past
Times" but OS X creates another called "Past Times-1" when I select "Back up
now" from the TM menu. When TM gives up, this "ghost" volume disappears again.

It clearly isn't in use, but it seems to have got 'stuck' as though it is. As
it's not attached to my iMac directly I can't run Disk Utility, though
obviously if required I could do that.

Any ideas on what I should do to get us on the road again?

Thanks in advance.

Stephen
