Glad to be of help. 
The other thing you need to consider when using JPGs is compression. You often 
need to reduce file size (say for uploading purposes). If you compress the 
image too much you'll get unfortunate "artifacts" in the image.
It's best practice to keep the original image and work on a copy, then you can 
always go back and do it again if you have a problem. And finally always keep 
the colour space to sRGB (or AdobeRGB 1998) – you won't normally ned to convert 
it to CMYK.
