Thank you for your help, Sam. At last, after struggling with it all afternoon, I have sorted it. The reason I couldn't eject the installation disc was because I hadn't installed the drivers. These I downloaded from bootcamp assistant. Now Alan can get on with installing his beloved Microsoft Money.
