Hi Ranulph, I am pretty sure it is because the summaries window has become 'stuck' to the right hand edge. You may see a thick border on the right with a dot half way down? If you mouse over this area on the right your mouse icon should change to an arrow pointing left, click and drag it to the left. Hopefully it will reveal your messages again.
