Hi Smuggers Work bought me an iPad mini (six months of negotiation...) and I thought I would just restore from the backup of my grown-up iPad. Both are 32 gig devices (and content is about 28 gig).
It's just not possible...I've reset it over and over and the restore process never gets anywhere near completing. - I did a full back-up to iTunes of iPad; told to restore from that backup and got a random few apps installed. I think I've tried that three times now. - I reset all and tried it from the cloud (several times also). It got part way then told me to restore the rest from iTunes. There are tens of apps missing.
