Hi Derek Go into the mail settings for that account and check the incoming port for the server. Depending on the account type it should be :
IMAP SSL On : 993 SSL Off : 143 POP SSL On : 995 SSL Off : 110 If someone's set the incoming server port to an incorrect number, or an incorrect combination of number and SSL preference, that will stop it communicating. If the iPad's expecting an IMAP server with SSL, but is set to port 995 with SSL off, it'll get no connection. Zen can advise you if SSL should be off or on, but I'd usually say it's best on.
