Agreed on Evernote, DEFINITELY Evernote. You can use it for GTD very efficiently too! Useful to buy more space for just a month when the need arises! Along with it, Skitch. Nifty little screen capture tool which you can add text and arrows etc too as well.
Spotify for musos. Kindle / Desktop Kobo etc (whichever reading device you have. Along with the Ultimate Converter from ePub to convert all items to ePub - very useful if you collect all the free books out there. Label Printer Pro is clunky but very useful for printing all your avery labels very accurately.
