All, My venerable 2007 24" iMac died terminally earlier this week and, all being well, its replacement; a "pre-loved" 2010 27" (i7, 2.93GHz. 8G RAM, 2TB HD) iMac is arriving tomorrow.
So, bearing in mind I have a Time Machine backup of the old iMac right up to the point where it died, and a separate clone on an external drive of its HD (done the day before it died), what's my best strategy for getting up and running as quickly as possible (with all the apps installed) on the new Mac? The new Mac has had its HD erased and a fresh installation of 10.8. The old Mac was still on 10.7.5.
