Andrew, This is probably "teaching Granny to suck eggs" (or a similar weird expression) but go for eBay if you weren't already. I wanted to make something on my iPad Classic and looked at trade-in on Apple's recycling program - they would have given me £65 - and mine is immaculate. I looked on eBay and three in three days went for between £120 and £180. On the basis of eBay's prices I sold it to a friend for £170 - she's tickled pink with it.
Result. I think it cost about £479 in 2010 so to resell it at the price I did after 4 hardware updates and three years and 7 months was a total, but very pleasing, surprise to me.
