Happy New Year Smuggers - anyone get any Apple goodies to mention?!

Anyway, my wife is delighting in the fact that I'm stumped by something on
her iPhone.

In Messages> New Message, when she types a contact name, she's noticed one
or two have several 'copies' with different numbers listed. However, when
she goes to Contacts, and searches to delete the now redundant number, it's
not there?! Only one Contact is listed against the name, and the Contact
only has one number assigned to it?

Where is the old number hiding for Messages to draw upon it?! I'm stumped?!

But it's really annoying as she often texts the old number by mistake, so
people don't get her messages.

Any help, gratefully received!

Thanks

Adam
