Hi Sam, Thanks for the response. I don't want to just wipe them, I want them saved somewhere first. DiskAid would have been perfect if it had been backward compatible enough. The iPhone was jailbroken and so not backed up in the normal way which is why it is still on OS1.1.4. Just want to dump all the text into a computer file... Tilly
