It really isn't a to do list, it's a list maker, and it does that rather well.
It's UI is very nice, and fun little things here and there are hidden as 'easter eggs'! It's merely a digital 'pen and paper' but I find it very helpful for shopping lists etc. To quickly jot things I need to buy down, and very easily mark them off as I pick them up, it works a treat. For anything more 'organisational' you'll need to look elsewhere. Things is my App of choice for that, and with Things 3 imminent, it's only set to get better! Never bothered with the Mac version...
