A USB mouse should resolve that problem and allow you to turn tap to click back
on. You'll need a new trackpad I think! What's the serial number of the laptop?
I might have a 2nd hand one in stock, although my entire stock supply is boxed
up ready for the move this weekend, I'm pretending I'm camping in a forest of
cardboard.
