I've got some Apple hardware for sale. I will be listing the items below
on eBay in around a week from now.
I've been watching several similar sales for the past few weeks and have
an idea of what I'd expect to get for these. If any SMUG member is
interested in any of the hardware for themselves/friends/family/spares,
please contact me off forum and I'd be happy to agree a price that saves
me having to bother listing them on eBay and then packaging/shipping
them. Pickup would be from near Worthing and I'm happy to demo anything
to anyone who wants a look.
The reason for sale, to save you asking, is that we've decided both to
upgrade and to switch to laptop SSD computers (MacBook Pro and MacBook
Air) connected to large screens when 'at base'. We decided that we
needed the flexibility of being able to easily move our business around
with us.
1) Apple iMac 20", 3Gb RAM, 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo, 250Gb drive, white
polycarbonate (2006)
Now running OSX 10.7.5 (Lion), the computer is cleared, reset and ready
to do the initial setup and start being used.
Original box. Used from new in one location as a second computer.
There's no mouse or keyboard with the iMac. You will have to buy wired
or bluetooth devices to suit your requirements.
2) Apple Mac Pro Twin Xeon Dual Core 2.66Ghz, 11Gb RAM - MA356B/A (Aug 2006)
Absolutely brilliant, reliable computer. I've owned this Mac Pro from
new in one location and not had a single problem since I got it. It has
4 drive bays. At times, I've had all 4 bays filled with 1Tb drives, but
it now has the original 250Gb drive back in it - with OSX 10.7.5 (Lion)
installed, reset and ready for startup. Over the years, its driven 2x
23" Apple cinema displays and more recently a single 30" Apple Cinema HD
display.
Supplied in the original box, there are no marks, scratches or damage.
Very sad that its going, but I now need to be more mobile and have
swapped to a MacBook Pro and Thunderbolt display.
3) Apple 30" Cinema HD display. 2560x1600, DVI connection.
Perfect condition, no marks, no dead pixels. Complete with the 150w
power brick. No box. These continue to sell like 'hot cakes' on eBay!
And, I have two smaller items are already on eBay, ending on Sunday, if
anyone wants to bid ...
4) Sonnet Tempo SATA E2P PCIe Host Controller

5) Startech Dual 2.5"/3.5" eSATA and USB 2 SATA HD Docking Station

Contact me off forum if you want to discuss prices on anything. If you
include your phone number then I'll call you.
