Hi Gilly
Try dragging the photo(s) from IPhoto onto the Mail app and it'll send
them as normal, you can select the image reduction level using the
"attachment size" menu when writing a new email (it only appears when
you attach an image).

I just tried to send a photo by email from iPhoto but was told: The
email server didn’t recognize your username/password combination.
I have checked that the information for username and password on
iPhoto preferences is up to date. How do I change that on the "email
server"?
