Personally I'd go for a devolo dlan wifi kit. You get the extended wifi but the original signal comes from using your power lines as networking cable, it's generally more stable.
Using the devolo dlan cockpit software, you can edit the name & password of your new wifi network to match that of your existing router, for example BTHub3-ABCD and your wifi password. That way, any devices should seamlessly swap between networks as you move into areas of low reception. 2 pack : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Devolo-dLAN-500-Wi-Fi-Starter/dp/B00C5IA4TW/ 3 pack : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Devolo-dLAN-500-Wi-Fi-Network/dp/B00C5IA4S8/ Regards Sam MacAmbulance Ltd.
