Sam, Thanks for sharing your knowledge, generously as always. I was out yesterday so I didn't get back. I've got past the sparse bundle problem. I can open Time Machine. But I can't see how to restore the calendar file (I'm running mavericks). To start with, I'm not sure where to look for it. I don't see anything like a help file. Can you give me a pointer?
