I have a 2TB Seagate BUP Slim external disk attached via USB to my iMac for
Time Machine backups.

When the iMac sleeps and I log back in I get the error message " The Time
Machine back up disk was not ejected properly....etc"
and the back up disk is no longer connected according to the Mac even though it
is still plugged in.

How do I prevent this from happening?

I've had BUS powered disks that haven't disappeared after sleep before so is it
a settings thing?

Running 10.9.5 btw.

Thanks
