Since updating to iOS 8 I've had several issues with my iPad 2 maintaining a
cellular data connection. This seem to be widespread across the globe and no
one so far has come up with why the only reliable way of restoring connection
is by a full reboot.

I've also noticed UI lag problems opening apps and some odd display issues
within apps.

By chance I noticed a post suggesting that many of these problems were cleared
by checking that the correct language choice for region was selected in
Settings>General. And lo, when I checked my own iPad 2 the language setting had
changed to 'English' from 'English UK' . I assume this had happened as a result
of updating to iOS 8 as it was certainly properly localised before this.

Amazingly since correcting the language choice the UI lagginess has disappeared
as have other odd display issues. Too early to tell if the cellular data
connection has stabilised.

Just find it curious so am passing on the experience in case anyone else has
the wrong language setting.

Regards,

Tony
