1Password can be totally integrated onto all your computing devices
including iPhones, iPads, iMacs (and possibly PCs).

The encrypted 1Password database is saved out to iCloud or Dropbox (your
choice) and also a copy is kept on each device you posses, and they are all
kept in sync, so that if one is lost you still have access to all your
passwords.

It is also possible to use someone else's computer (or perhaps an internet
café) to access your iPassword database and logon to a remote service as
required.

Bearing the above in mind, you do not need to remember many passwords
except the master password to access 1Password and your iMac logon password
(and perhaps a few others). It is difficult to think of a situation where
you would not have access to your 1Password information.

I suggest you do not need to worry about creating very long cryptic
passwords to keep your data safe. You do not need to remember them if you
use 1Password.

You will find an excellent guide to 1Password here:

I was hoping to learn how to use 1 password 'properly' by which I mean the
scrambled passwords. My husband and I share 1password and have all our
logins, bank accounts and credit card details in it. We find it invaluable.
But I have never used the generate password facility because I am scared of
losing control ie if a new password is generated how will I know what it is?
Obviously it would be more secure to let 1password generate passwords - can
someone explain how it works and what happens if I need to enter a password
manually.
