Thanks for all your advice guys. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work. I now have the powerline adaptor into which my iMac is plugged showing green lights for “status’ and “ethernet”. (This is progress) However, the Network pane reads - "Either the cable for Ethernet Adaptor (en3) is not plugged in or the device at the other end is not responding.” I have tried two different ethernet cables. I have pressed the buttons a couple of times on both powerline boxes (the one connected to the Mac and the one connected to the BT Hume Hub router.) No luck…
