Hi All I’ve just removed the following programs from Gilly’s Mac :
Geneio Omnibar MacKeeper And reset her home page back to google.co.uk <http://google.co.uk/> in both Safari & Firefox. It’s a good reminder to everyone to avoid these utilities/programs like the plague, mostly people install MacKeeper thinking it’ll help their Mac (quite the opposite) and it installs other apps like Geneio, VSearch, Omnibar etc. AdWare Medic is a great tool for getting rid of such programs, though it doesn’t recognise MacKeeper (it’s ScamWare not AdWare). Always be careful when typing your password in! Regards Sam <http://www.facebook.com/macambulance> <http://www.twitter.com/macambulance> <http://uk.linkedin.com/in/macambulance/> MacAmbulance Ltd.
