HI Paul Your best bet is to download Lion on the MacBook Pro’s App Store (if it’s in your purchases tab that’ll be easy) then use the instructions here : http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/08/make-a-bootable-mac-os-x-10-7-lion-installer-from-a-usb-flash-drive/ to make a bootable USB or firewire drive. I believe Lion is the latest the MacPro 2,1 will run.
