5 will last longer than the 4s, but the move to 64-bit *will* provide a
cut-off point. Put another way, the 5 will last a bit longer than the 4S
but the 5S will last a lot longer, almost certainly.

I read recently that the 5s is still selling very well around the
world. From my research the internal architecture seemed to change
with the 5 so that’s why I’m thinking the 5 might last a bit
longer than the 4S. But yes the OS size seems to increase every time
and presumably slow things down.
