Morning all I'm having a lot of trouble with our WiFi, which in working from home, is proving tedious.
MacBooks and Apple TV connect just fine, but all other devices are constantly thrown off and trying to reconnect - sometimes successfully, mostly not. PlusNet suggested changing the Router Channel. This fixes the problem instantly, but needs doing 2-3 times per day - again, tedious. I also use a Devolo booster, but the problem is either interference or devices struggling to find IP addresses (so I'm told?) PlusNet now suggest: 1. A more adequate 'ac' router. 2. Using Port Forwarding. They don't support this, but the router can do it, so they said it's up to me to setup and see how it goes. I'll happily try Port Forwarding as that's the free option, but it seems restricted to a whole list of games/apps to be sent to a specified device. Any idea on how I don't restrict it to one game/app, but indeed for the device itself whenever it wants to connect? Any thoughts, gratefully received....
