Not quite - but close.
You log into your online account at their site and can browse all the
backed up files. You can restore what you need (as a zip file) and there
are other options for getting larger quantities of files (or all files)
sent via physical media at additional cost.

Me, too, I have been using Backblaze for about 3 years and as Ben says
it just works. Browser access to your files to download them in a
different location has proved both easy to use and useful.

I'm a big fan of Backblaze. Because it just works.
I spent ages not doing anything about it because Crashplan etc had
lots of options and I could never find the time to think hard enough
about it to make it work. Then I came across a blog post from
Backblaze, and liked their style.
Backblaze essentially do just one thing (unless you really want to dig
into it) and you can literally go their website and about 2 minutes
later you're done*. $50/computer/year. That's it.
Bonus is that there's a phone app which you can use to browse your
backups - so if there's a file on your computer at home (that's been
there for a while) you essentially can access it wherever you are.
Like your whole disk is dropbox.
I recommend just doing it.

* (apart from weeks of leaving your computer on so it slowly gets
everything done, and remembering to give them your credit card within
a couple of weeks).

I'm looking into this and fancy Backblaze. Anyone got an opinion or a
solid recommendation?
thanks
