Dear Smuggers
My son has just moved somewhere where there's no wifi so I authorised
his laptop to use my purchases, and added him also to my 'family'
set-up, then put all the movies etc I have on a hard drive. Basically,
he can manage apart from the need to stream films;)
But the machine frequently makes him sign in again because his session
on iCloud has expired and won't let him play films otherwise. This is a
bit ridiculous, as he then has to go off to somewhere he can get wifi
(eg a cafe) to authorise, then go home again to watch a film that has
been paid for and authorised. Tethering to his phone is not currently an
option and I'm loathe to get a mifi just for this (because his laptop
would then instantly start updating all kinds of things and hit the data
hard).
Anyone think of a way round this? I hadn't really noticed it making me
reauthorise as I rarely watch films on iTunes.
cheers
