It seems both to me - since installing my iMac seems to have been uploading, downloading, indexing and who knows what. CPU usage seems to shoot up to 90% on all four cores for about 3 minutes and then drop to 0. Disk churning away randomly. Maybe it will all settle down after every app has had its bite of the cherry at updating its indexes and the like.
I had real troubles trying to login to my usual user account but starting in Safe Mode, waiting for things to stop and then restarting eventually sorted it. Having said that, when it’s not doing the above, the interface and everything feel smoother and faster with subtle changes to icons and the interface. San Fransisco looks way nicer than the last system font they used.
