Morning all

I realise I gave El Capitan about 1 day of patience, and recognise I'll
doubtless update in due course.

Being still on Mavericks, I admit I don't like the UI on El Capitan,
especially on my non-retina MacBook Pro. Fonts are furry etc, and a general
lack of sharpness and contrast. Photos app sent the fan in to overdrive,
but I'm assured it calms down (albeit after several days as I have 40gb of
photos).

The main annoyance, and t'was a simple one, was scrolling through the weeks
in Calendar. There was a horrid lag, and everytime I got a call and needed
to check my diary, it was ridiculously slow. I run 5 calendars through
iCloud, including some a Google Cals (eg, match days). Anyone else have the
same problem (I'm on an early 2011 MBPro)? Or, is it something that will
'calm down' in time.

It's all beginning to sound like the late Michael Winner is offering Apple
support!
