Hi, I've been making good use of my trusty old Blackbook (2007 model I think) by keeping it on the digital piano (plugged in without a battery) and using it for sequencing, software synthesis and watching you tube tutorials.
Unfortunately, it stopped working last week. When I press the power button it will make a little noise (like a disk startup shimmy) and after a while the fan will start up but nothing else happens. I've done the usual key presses to reset this that and the other and I've tried to boot from an external usb disk but I can't get to the screen where you choose the disk. In fact the screen never shows anything at all and I never hear the startup sound. Any other ideas on how I can resuscitate it? Cheers, Paul. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
