I would say : 

Speed - will be much quicker than your 5
Software - able to run a lot more apps which require later versions of iOS (I 
assume apple will cut off some older devices with iOS10)
Fingerprint sensor - very convenient and enables:
Apple Pay - much more secure than standard contactless payments
