Daughter has a problem getting rid of "MacKeeper", so I sent her the link for
"easyfind" but the her Mac says it cannot find the server.

Can anyone help.
Many thanks Michael

Nigel,

Take a TimeMachine backup (just in case.)

Get yourself a copy of Easyfind -
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/11076/easyfind - it's a very powerful (and
free) local search utility.

Set it up to search your hard drive (from the drop-down menu, top-right) with
options as follows:

Search For: Files and Folders
Operator: Phrase
Comparison: Ignore case
Include: Package Contents and Invisible files and folders

Now enter the search strings in turn, 'MacKeeper', 'Zeobit' or 'Kromtech' and
delete anything found in each case. Some you'll be able to delete from the
'Delete' button on Easyfind's toolbar, others you'll have to 'Show in Finder'
then delete from there as they may need Authentication to delete.

Restart your computer and using Easyfind again, make sure you haven't missed
anything then all should be back to normal.
