I have a new iPad Pro because the wifi facility on my old iPad Air failed. (I
can probably get it repaired but I am adrift without an iPad!). The set up of
the new iPad has been straightforward using iCloud but I made the mistake of
using the iCloud version of my husbands iPad which does not have some apps that
were on my old iPad. Therefore I backed up my old iPad to iTunes.

But after this it hasn't been plain sailing. When I try to restore the apps
from iTunes to my new iPad, I get a message to say that 'find my iPad' in
iCloud has to be turned off first. This I do in Settings but after a few
minutes I get an error message which says: "Verification failed. Connection to
iCloud timed out". Any suggestions about what I can do? I thought at first it
was the wifi connection which is not very strong, but I was able to download
all the other apps and settings so I doubt if that is the reason.
