Let me have another go! Virginia,
I probably use Pages every day and am not really having problems with it, other than if I want to use it in page layout mode - which is much less flexible that it was prior to version 5. I might agree that the UI can be bewildering at times but the more used the easier it has become. I suppose it depends what sort of documents you are creating. Academic tasks requiring footnotes and citations isn’t really Pages forte, for example. But for letters, reports, even forms, that sort of thing I’ve found Pages easy enough to use. Difficult to suggest an alternative without knowing what sorts of documents you are producing as so many document preparation apps are for specific needs these days. Everyone seems to prefer simpler apps rather than the all encompassing types like Word. I ought to mention that I usually draft my documents in a ‘notes’ type app, such as Notes, or you could use TextEdit, and then copy and format in Pages subsequently. > On 28 Sep 2016, at 11:03, [email protected] wrote: > > Virginia, I have Nisus Pro and I love it. > > Gilly > > From my iPhone > > >> On 25 Sep 2016, at 23:58, Virginia Routh <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> I am exasperated by Pages.
