I can hear the groans already but I still have use of a ten-year-old PowerBook
G4 running 10.4.11. While it is next to useless for any Internet-based
applications it serves me well for simple audio editing with the sadly defunct
Bias Peak editing software and making mp3s with iTunes / LAME encoding.

I sadly dropped the PowerBook the other week and that resulted in the screen's
internal light going intermittent. While I contemplated what to do, I plugged
in an old Dell LCD monitor which actually solved the problem at least
temporarily. However, while using Peak with this slightly higher resolution
external monitor I moved one of the control windows further down to make the
most of the extra screen space. Strangely, the monitor lost its "extra space"
today (while remaining at the correct resolution) and the moved "transport"
window is now below where I can get to it on the screen.

Sorry for the convoluted explanation - here's the thing: How do I get at
windows that are outside the visible screen areas?
