You need a (any) Mac running Sierra and an iPad (or iPhone), once installed on Mac (free) and iPad (£7.99) you can configure the iPad as a second display and also show on it a fully functional Touchbar. Unfortunately my ancient MacPro (2008) won’t run Sierra so I can’t try it myself 😟.
