In order to send a clickable link the image would need to be hosted on a publicly accessible server somewhere, ie Dropbox or Google Drive. Mail for OS X allows you to shrink images down when sending so they’re not so large, iOS Mail allows that too (when you hit send you’re given a choice of sizes).
Mail for OS X also supports MailDrop, where the image is uploaded to iCloud (allows for a clickable link), I don’t think iOS supports that though. Try using the Dropbox app, import the photos from your camera roll, then tell Dropbox to email them. Regards Sam MacAmbulance Ltd.
