Hi All Just thought I’d share a couple of tips I’ve discovered recently (and some not so recently). I typed this out for a friend on facebook so it’s an easy copy/paste :
Double-click a window’s edge and it’ll resize to the edge of the desktop/display. Alt+double-click will resize both opposite edges at the same time Cmd+tab = cycle between open apps Cmd+shift+tab = reverse direction While still holding cmd for the previous two shortcuts, use tab to cycle the selection over an app then push Q to quit or H to hide Cmd+backspace = trash selected file(s) Cmd+shift+backspace = empty trash Cmd+alt+W = close all windows in current app (in Safari this is close all tabs apart from the current one) Double click a word = select it Triple click a word = select a paragraph Double click a word then shift+click another word = select all words in between Cmd+right/left arrow = go to the end/beginning of a line Alt+right/left = go forward/backward one word Hold shift while doing the previous two = select the whole line or word Alt+backspace = delete a word Cmd+backspace = delete an entire line Cmd+shift+4 = drag a box to take a sceeenshot As above but push space bar = click a window to take a screenshot of just that one Cmd+shift+Q = log out with confirmation Cmd+shift+alt+Q = log out no confirmation Cmd+shift+[ or ] = cycle through open tabs in safari Sam MacAmbulance Ltd.
