Hi my USB Superdrive has stopped recognising DVD’s I can no longer play them or 
burn to them.
When I put a DVD in the drive, it spits it straight back out.
However, it will happily read / copy an audio CD, so I do not suspect the drive 
mechanics.
* I have not used it for a while, so it MAY be something that has changed since 
I upgraded to OSX Sierra?

I have followed the Apple support guide below, including resetting the SMC but 
this has made no difference
