I use SnapnDrag Pro
It saves all the collected screen captures in a specific area and you can 
convert them to JPGs for editing in Preview.

It allows you to decide if you want to screen capture secure web pages or 
not. You can easily select parts of the screen, I find it useful for 
grabbing parts of images eg Google Maps for use in documents or reports.
