Thanks for yr reply Derek. The problem just within Mail is the Photo browser disappears completely when one clicks on it when it is partly hiding behind the email and also greyed out. So one can’t get at any photos within Mail. A work around would possoibly be to create a split screen with Photos itself and Mail + plus the new email and then one could probably drag a photos across but within Mail there seems to be a bug around the photo browser playing hide and seek.
